The Workshop Demonstration Circuit in Bidar district of Karnataka was successfully conducted by   Vidushi Shivaranjani Harish from 3rd February,2020 to 8th February,2020. Vidushi Shivaranjani Harish has been learning Bharatanatyam for close to 30 years and teaching this art form for over 18 years under the tutorship of acclaimed dancers and Gurus Kiran Subramanyam and Sandhya Kiran at their institution for dance, RASIKA, Bangalore. She has performed at several prestigious platforms and has a host of solo shows all over India. A TOP GRADED artiste of Doordarshan and an empanelled artiste of ICCR- Government of India, Shivaranjani has won major awards like the YUVA PRATHIBE from the Government of Karnataka, ARYABHATTA award and the title of 'Karnataka Nrityashri'.She is also the proud winner of the prestigious HRD scholarship awarded by the Government of India. For the 17th consecutive year, we had a successful Yamini overnight at IIM, Bengaluru on 25-26th January on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day of India. Beginning with the masterpiece ‘Swara Raga Sudha’ in Shankarabharanam, Vidwan Abhishek Raghuram rendered compositions of Tyagaraja and Muthuswamy Dikshitar with great proficiency. Todi and KapiNarayani were his other choice of ragas for the evening. He was ably accompanied by Vidushi H.M. Smitha on the Violin, Vidwan K U Jayachandra Rao on Mridangam and Vidwan Giridhar Udupa on the Ghatam. Concert ended with a joyful Thillana in MohanaKalyani composed by his maternal granduncle, Maestro Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. Misra bandhu began with a soul-stirring rendition of a vilambit in Bihagada. The Basant Bahar that followed, a jod-raag, was skillfully tackled to be rendered as an enchanting hybrid. It's a new year and as the weather starts turning from  cold  to  pleasant , SPIC MACAY Bengaluru presents yet another dusk to dawn overnight series of concerts,  Yamini 2018 , at IIM Bangalore,  from 7 PM on Jan 25 to 7 AM on Jan 26 . There is absolutely no exaggeration that this very important event of our calendar, Yamini at IIM Bangalore (started in 2004), has become one of the most famous classical music and dance events in Bengaluru. This edition is indeed a  milestone event , for this being the  15th edition in succession at IIMB ! International School Convention 2017 is over. All of us reached to our homes and are back to our normal routine. Being at ISC was a different experience.
