Workshop demonstration by Vidushi Shivaranjani Harish

The Workshop Demonstration Circuit in Bidar district of Karnataka was successfully conducted by   Vidushi Shivaranjani Harish from 3rd February,2020 to 8th February,2020. Vidushi Shivaranjani Harish has been learning Bharatanatyam for close to 30 years and teaching this art form for over 18 years under the tutorship of acclaimed dancers and Gurus Kiran Subramanyam and Sandhya Kiran at their institution for dance, RASIKA, Bangalore. She has performed at several prestigious platforms and has a host of solo shows all over India. A TOP GRADED artiste of Doordarshan and an empanelled artiste of ICCR- Government of India, Shivaranjani has won major awards like the YUVA PRATHIBE from the Government of Karnataka, ARYABHATTA award and the title of 'Karnataka Nrityashri'.She is also the proud winner of the prestigious HRD scholarship awarded by the Government of India. A graduate in Journalism, she presently works as a senior teacher and administrator at RASIKA. Shivaranjani has been part of SPICMACAY for over two years now. During the WDs, she actively engaged and interacted with hundreds of students each in over 12 schools in 5 different taluks, namely Bidar, Aurad, Bhalki, Basavakalyana, and Humnabad. A total of 5245 students could experience the beauty and essence of Bharatanatyam through these WDs.  All the students were extremely responsive and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the workshop demonstrations. The teachers at the schools also did their bit by inspiring the students to take up Indian Classical Arts as career options in their life.
